Participants

The coordinator of the NB&SB project is Suntem Diferiți pentru Copii Diferiți (Romania), with partners Progetto Crescere Società Cooperativa Sociale (Italy) and the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education An. Macedonia-Thrace (Greece) and its duration is from 1/11/2023 to 31/10/2025.

Objectives

The ND&SB project aims to enhance the knowledge and competences of parents, both neuro-typical and neuro-diverse children, on bullying prevention issues and promote an inclusive school environment. In particular, the aim of the project is to detect the educational needs of parents, create appropriate educational material and train them to clarify aspects of school bullying, its impact on children's well-being and its prevention. In addition, the project aims to improve communication between parents and school staff by encouraging strong partnerships, enhancing parents' active participation in their children's educational activities and taking a key role in preventing bullying. 

Summarising, the aim of the program is to enhance the participation of parents in dealing with bullying of children with special educational needs in schools. In particular, the objectives of the project include the following:

• Strengthening cooperation between parents and school,
• Training to promote cooperation between parents and the teacher of their children's class,
• The production of appropriate educational material to enhance inclusive education.
