The educational project "HATOPIA”, proposed within the framework of the program “Neurodivergence and the risk to become a victim of bullying in school”, was successfully implemented in kindergarten class, on May 2025, with the active participation of 23 preschool children. The educational activities aimed to cultivate foster empathy, acceptance and inclusion from an early age.

The implementation of the program was structured into three distinct activities that took place on three different days:

1. INTRODUCTION TO NEURODIVERSITY

In the first session, children were introduced to the concept of neurodivergence and engaged in a discussion about the differences between children. As part of the activity, they watched the first part of the Hatopia, on the interactive whiteboard, and they had the chance to express their thoughts.

2.  CREATIVE EXPRESSION

In the second session, the children created their symbolic hats, each representing their uniqueness. This creative activity allowed them to express their individuality and better understand the idea that every person is different and special in their own way.

3. DRAMATIZATION AND REFLECTION

During the final session, the children wore their self- made hats and watched the last part of the Hatopia story. As they watched they actively dramatized the actions of the story’s characters, bringing the narrative to life through movement and role-play. This immersive experience helped them to reinforce the key messages of the story.

The Hatopia project has successfully achieved its educational objectives, creating a safe and engaging space for dialogue and emotional development. It was a meaningful experience for all the participants.
